My artwork of roughly six month which i created for my university application
and for the "Global Game Jam" in 2016.
My name is Pablo Spallek and after I graduated from school I started an one year internship at mdwp* to learn more about media, web design, programming, art and illustration.
Though I only do artwork I try to develop my skills in the mentioned and additional areas.
I am aiming to work wherever artwork is needed but I am especially interested in digital/analog game related concept art & illustrations.
Thus was my participation at the "Global Game Jam" in 2016 an important effort for me to have a vague idea of the creation of a digital game prototype.
I am planing to apply at the CGL (http://www.colognegamelab.de/) which is the very opportunity to apply when one is interested in games or game related work.
There are specialization tracks for your application and during the course of the study, including game design, game programming and game arts.
Concerning my CGL application I have the preference to game arts due to my skillset and huge interests in concept art. In this specialization everything appeals to me due to my artastic affinity.
Whereas game design and game programming are specializations I am very interested in
but do not have actual skills in these areas.
Albeit especially AI programming, gameplay and storytelling are further interests I would want to learn and know about.
For the first time in my life I participated in a Global Game Jam in 2016 at the CGL and, also my first time, created art for a digital game.
It was an extraordinary expirience concerning the things I learned about making games and about creating art for games.
